Our project for Moss street lighting refurbishment wins the Norwegian Light Prize for the Sustainability Category 2023.
The rehabilitation of street lights in the center of Moss has succeeded in an exemplary way in taking care of several aspects of sustainability. Good interaction between the client, consultant, supplier and manufacturer contributed to them ending up with a solution that was not only far more energy efficient than the original – at the same time the quality was increased in ways that meant that the facility – despite traditional aesthetics – delivers light levels, color reproduction and comfort adapted to today’s needs and expectations. Maintaining the traditional appearance by reusing existing lighting fixtures was an independent goal, where the lighting now contributes to the historic urban environment being shown in all its glory.
