Fargedans, Oksenøya

A square needs shelter from the weather, wind and sun. Can be used for various functions. Offers a service. Is connected to energy. A unifying physical element.

LIGHT:  Why colors? The color concept for Oksenøya torg spice up life with warm colors both in the sun light during the day and in artificial light in the evening. People are stimulated by colors, it gives us energy. Warm colors next to green vegetation enhance each other’s expressions.

Why light? Because people have a special connection to light in Norway, not only in winter but in all seasons. Light has the potential to bring people together and surprise them. When it is dark it is difficult for us to use public space. The overall concept is sustainability and interaction. The structure should give to society and not consume energy.
